My miracle occurred after I attended the first night of training. I was reminded that we are all part of the priesthood, that we can bless the world, we can stand in His presence, we can minister to him in our patch of earth, we can carry his presence to others and we can bless in his name.
The last time I heard someone tell me that I had a priestly calling was 24 years ago when I was studying theology as a layman. It was the one and only time it was said to me.
But when the spotlight was shone on this truth during training, the revelation occurred. I can only say that for me the miracle was this – I found my true identity again.
For years I had a feeling that my identity was more than what I thought. I knew that I had gifts but it seemed that they were not as good as the gifts of the proper "priests."
But now, it is as if God has reconfirmed my identity in Him.
For the rest of the week I prayed like I had never prayed before, I read the Bible and it came alive for me and I just could not stop worshipping!
I have found new joy, knowing that the way of blessing as a royal priest is not limited to explicitly religious or spiritual employment. It can be done in whatever patch of earth I find myself!
So whatever happens, wherever I find myself - I now know who I am.
